A simple method used to diagnose and treat ailments in pets.

When your pet exhibits any signs of illness, our veterinarians usually run blood tests to diagnose their condition. Our in-house diagnostic facility helps our veterinarians understand your pet's illness. From conducting simple CBC tests to heartworm testing and more, our veterinary technicians play an important role in assisting vets in diagnosing and treating your loyal companion. To know more about our bloodwork services, feel free to call us at (416) 351-1212.

What is a CBC test?

In veterinary terminology, CBC means a Complete Blood Count. In this test, the vet technician identifies and quantifies components of your pet's blood, such as platelets and white blood cells, which tell us about your pet’s immunity as well as red blood cells, which indicate oxygen-carrying abilities.

How should I prepare my pet for bloodwork?

Most bloodwork requires pets to fast for about 6 to 8 hours. Fasting leads to retrieving a good sample without fatty blood samples, which can provide a better diagnosis.
