Austin Lamarche

I have been at Front Street since June 2021. After several years of working in music education outreach, I decided to listen to the voice that had been nagging at me for years and go back to school to pursue a career in the veterinary industry. I am currently completing a Veterinary Office Management program through Mohawk College.

I knew I wanted to work with animals and was drawn to the veterinary industry because I felt I could help make a difference. There are many great parts of the job but I think my favourite part is building relationships with both clients and patients. It's always especially rewarding when the patients can't wait to come inside, even if they're just walking by and don't have an appointment (we love to just say hello)! We see a lot of young puppies and kittens, and it is exciting to watch them grow up and continue to build relationships with them and their families. 

A fun fact about me is that I am a percussionist and have a Masters Degree in Music Performance - my favourite instrument to play is the vibraphone!
